Privacy policy

Last updated 18 October 2026. This is a plain-English summary, not legal advice.

Who we are

Trophora is run by Alexander Ifidon, a sole trader trading as Trophora, 52 Larden Road, London W3 8HJ, United Kingdom ("we", "us"). We are the data controller for the personal data described here. Contact: [email protected]. You can also write to us at that address.

Trophora is for people aged 13 and over. Our younger sister game, Trophora Academy (ages 5 to 12), has its own privacy notice and does not use Trophora accounts.

Your game itself (clubs, players, careers) is saved on your device, not on our server. We do not use advertising trackers, and we do not sell or share your data for marketing.

Payments

Subscriptions are paid through Stripe. You type your card details into Stripe's own pages; we never see or store them. Stripe processes payment data under its own privacy policy as an independent controller for payment and fraud checks.

Who processes data for us

Some of these providers may process data outside the UK. Where they do, they use safeguards approved under UK data protection law, such as the International Data Transfer Agreement or adequacy regulations.

How long we keep it

Your rights

You can ask to see, correct or delete your data, object to how we use it, or ask us to restrict it. You can delete your account yourself on the Account screen in the game, or email [email protected]. If you are unhappy with how we handle your data you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).

Children

You must be 13 or older to make an account. Trophora is a game about football careers that can start at age 13 inside the game; that is a fictional character, not you. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13. If you think a child under 13 has made an account, email us and we will delete it.

Age checks. When you make an account you tick a box to say you are 13 or older. We do not check this with ID.

Different ages in different countries. Trophora is on the internet, so people in many countries can reach it. In the UK, 13 is the age at which you can give your own consent to an online service like this. Some other countries set a higher age. In the EU, for example, each country picks an age between 13 and 16 below which a parent's agreement is needed when a service relies on consent. Most of what we do for your account does not rely on consent (see the table above). The one thing that does is the optional news emails. If you are under 16 and live somewhere that sets an age above 13, please leave the news-email box unticked unless a parent or carer agrees. You can always untick it later, and your account works the same either way.

If you live outside the UK, you may have extra rights under your own country's law. Email us and we will do what we can to help.

Changes

If we change this policy we will update the date above, and tell account holders by email about important changes.
